Set Engine RPM
The Set Engine RPM function lets you set engine speed to a specified
value.
1. Select Set Engine RPM in the Special Functions menu, then press
ENTER .
n An “instructional” screen displays. Prepare the vehicle for test as
directed:
- Start and idle the engine.
2. Choose Yes to continue.
n A “status” screen displays while a vehicle status check is
performed.
n The Select RPM screen displays.
3. Select the desired RPM value (700 RPM to 1300 RPM), as desired,
then press ENTER .
n The Test Results screen displays.
n The screen shows the current
Engine Speed.
4. If desired, choose Reselect to return to
the Select RPM screen, and repeat step
3 to select a new engine speed.
5. Choose Finish to return to the Special
Functions menu.
Set RPM Test
The Set RPM Test lets you set engine speed to a specified value.
1. Select Set Engine RPM in the Special Functions menu, then press
ENTER .
n An “instructional” screen displays. Prepare the vehicle for test as
directed:
- Start and idle the engine.
2. Choose Yes to continue.
n A “status” screen displays while a
vehicle status check is performed.
n The Select RPM screen displays.
3. Select the desired RPM value (Idle to
1500 RPM), as desired, then press
ENTER .
n The Test Results screen displays.
