If an error occurs while performing any function, an “advisory”
message displays. Choose Exit to return to the PCM Actuator
Test and Special Function Menu.
EGR Cut VSV
The EGR Cut VSV function lets you activate and deactivate the Exhaust
Gas Recirculation (EGR) Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV).
1. Select EGR Cut VSV in the PCM Actuator Test and Special Function
Menu, then press ENTER .
n An “instructional” screen displays. Prepare the vehicle for test as
directed:
- Turn the ignition on. DO NOT start the engine.
- Place the transmission in PARK.
2. Choose Continue to proceed.
n The Control EGR Cut VSV screen
displays.
3. Choose On to activate the EGR Cut
VSV. Choose Off to deactivate the EGR
Cut VSV.
n The display refreshes to show the
results. Repeat as desired.
4. Choose Exit to return to the PCM Actuator Test and Special Function
Menu.
EGR Step Position / System
The EGR Step Position / System function lets you increase Exhaust Gas
Recirculation (EGR) target position through its full range (1% - 100%)
1. Select EGR Step Position / System in the PCM Actuator Test and
Special Function Menu, then press ENTER .
