O2 Test
The O2 Test function lets you perform a check of the vehicle’s oxygen
sensors.
1. Select O2 Test in the Active Test menu, then press ENTER .
n A series of “informational/instructional” screens display. Choose
Continue as necessary to scroll the screens. Prepare the vehicle
for test as directed:
- Make sure the battery is fully charged.
- Make sure all vehicle electrical devices are OFF.
- Make sure the steering wheel is in the center position, and DO
NOT move during testing.
- Turn the ignition on. DO NOT start the engine at this time.
2. Choose Continue to proceed.
n An “instructional” screen displays.
3. Start and idle the engine.
If DTCs are present in the vehicle’s computer, an “advisory”
screen displays. Clear DTCs before proceeding.
n The Throttle Snap screen displays.
4. Switch engine speed from 1000 RPM to 3000 RPM three times. The
Snap Counter increments for each throttle snap.
n An “instructional” screen displays. Perform the following:
- Press and hold the accelerator to maintain engine speed
between 2000-3000 RPM.
- Hold the accelerator steady for 5
seconds.
5. A “status” screen displays while the test
is in progress.
n The screen shows the Elapsed
Time, Engine Speed and O2S
(oxygen sensor) voltage.
6. Hold the accelerator steady for 30 seconds.
n A “results” screen displays when testing is complete.
n The screen shows the maximum and
minimum O2 sensor voltage
(VO2MAX, VO2MIN) and switching
voltage count (CLH).
7. Choose Back to return to the Active Test
menu.
