6.1 Requirements for Performance Tests
The performance tests are carried out as a part of preventive maintenance to prevent
deterioration of the MT8801C performance.
Use the performance test procedure during acceptance inspection, periodic inspec-
tion, and after repair to check the MT8801C performance. The items which is re-
garded important should be tested periodically as preventive maintenance. This sec-
tion explains the following test procedures:
Reference oscillator frequency stability
Frequency/waveform quality
Relative level accuracy of signal generator
Waveform quality of signal generator
Power meter (IF Level Meter) measurement accuracy
Power meter (Power Meter) measurement accuracy
Neighboring spurious measurement
Spurious measurement
For the analog measurement performance test, see Section 5 “Performance Test” of
the manual of the MT8801C main unit.
The performance is recommended to inspect regularly once or twice a year.
If the specifications are not met in the performance tests, contact the Service Depart-
ment of Anritsu Corporation.
