Local Host Table — Add Host
Screen 6-8. Add Host
This screen is used to add hosts. When you add a host using this screen, after
you press the function key, the previous screen reappears with the cursor
positioned at the beginning of the new entry.
Field Name Description
IP Address IP address of locally known host. Maximum field size = 15
characters.
Host Name Name of locally known host. Maximum field size = 20
characters.
Aliases Additional names associated with this host. Maximum field
size = 35 characters. Multiple aliases are separated by
spaces. Entries starting with a “#” sign are comments. A “#”
may be placed anywhere in the filed, but anything following
the “#” is considered a comment and ignored.
