If you make a mistake while typing data on a line, backspace and overwrite
the characters or use to clear the field. If you have already passed
the line that has the mistake, use or the arrow keys to return to the
field, and type over the characters.
Menu items followed by three dots (...) have submenus.
When data is added on a screen, after you press , the previous
screen reappears with the cursor positioned at the beginning of the new
entry. (The new data is in alphabetical or numerical sequence, depending
on how the data is organized for that screen.)
When the prompt: Are you sure? appears, the user must press
after entering Y or N.
In this document DLG stands for the DEFINITY LAN Gateway application
and CV/LAN stands for the CallVisor ASAI PC LAN application.
Logging On
1. At the login prompt, enter your login and press .
The password prompt (
PASSWORD:) appears.
NOTE:
If a login prompt is not displayed, press a few times. If it still
does not appear, see Bringing Up the MAPD System, in Appendix
D.
2. Enter your password and press . You are prompted for your
terminal type as follows:
Terminal Type (513, 715, 4410, 4425,vt100, vt220,...):
[xterm]
The default is 513.
3. Enter your terminal type and press
The Main Menu appears. For information about this menu, see the section,
"Field Names and Descriptions" in this chapter.
