Many AvL antenna systems have removable reflectors and feed booms to minimize pack-up size and
improve transportability of the product. These systems may have a Stow Position that is necessary
for pack-up, but leaves no room for an attached reflector or feed boom. In that case, the AAQ will
not completely Stow the positioner until the operator confirms that these items have been safely
removed. Conversely, the antenna cannot operate as intended without these items installed, so the
same confirmation process in reverse is required on antenna deployment.
These parameters are typically set by the operator’s response to an appropriately timed prompt,
offered by the AAQ in the appropriate GUI window.
