6.4.1 Target Satellite
Current Satellite Inclination
The inclination of the current satellite. (degrees)
The longitude of the satellite to target during acquire
with the numeric portion in decimal degrees and the
hemisphere as a single letter (ie 61.5 W).
Current Satellite Polarization
Feed orientation for the selected satellite
(Horizontal/Vertical).
First reference profile used to perform a Ref Sat
Acquisition
Second reference profile used to perform a Ref Sat
Acquisition
Flag indicating that reference profiles should be used if
a heading is needed.
Current Satellite Longitude
The longitude of the satellite to target during acquire
with the numeric portion in decimal degrees and the
hemisphere as a single letter (ie 61.5 W)
Current Satellite NORAD ID
The NORAD ID of the Satellite, Used For Target Updates
Current Satellite Polarization
Feed polarization for the selected satellite
Current Satellite TLE Line 1
Line 1 of the NORAD Two Line Ephemeris
Current Satelliite TLE Line 2
Line 2 of the NORAD Two Line Ephemeris

Tracking
Module
Tracking Method to use after an Acquisition has been
completed
Update Heading After Acquisition
Flag indicating that the Heading should be recalculated
after an acquisition is completed.
Note – The three following parameters are entered automatically when a target
satellite is selected. These may be changed from the Satellite List.
Current Satellite Inclination should be set to the published value for the Target Satellite. If the
Target Satellite is listed as “Geostationary” and no inclination value is provided, then a value of “0.0”
is usually a good choice. If a successful acquisition is not consistently occurring on the first
Acquisition AZ line scan, then this satellite property should be verified by other means.
