4.2.6 Manual Control Pane

The Manual Control Pane contains the controls for manually jogging the antenna in any direction and
axis. This pane is inactive until the controller is in manual control mode. To activate manual control
mode select ‘Manual Control’ control from the Command Pane.
If the Step Mode Checkbox is unchecked the system will operate in a “jog until released” mode. While
the button is pressed the antenna will move in that direction until the button is released.
If the Step Mode Checkbox is checked the system will operate in a “jog by step” mode. When the
button is pressed the system moves the antenna in the direction of the button pressed by the
amount listed in the Step Amount Display text box. While the antenna is moving to the position,
button presses are ignored, steps are not accumulated by pressing the button multiple times.
Note – For Jog by step mode, home command must be run first to initialize encoders
before operation.

The heading source pane allows the user to select the device that will be used to determine heading coordinates
for the controller. Available choices are described below.
