How to fix wrong temperature readings on BEAMEX Test Equipment MC5-IS?
    • G
      Garrett PittmanAug 2, 2025
If your BEAMEX MC5-IS Test Equipment displays incorrect temperature readings, consider the following possible causes and solutions: * Thermocouple Type: The thermocouple type selected in MC5-IS may not match the thermocouple being used. Check and select the correct thermocouple type in MC5-IS. * Reference Junction Mode: The selected Reference Junction mode might not be in accordance with the wiring used. Verify and adjust the Reference Junction mode to match the wiring. * Extension or Compensation Cable: The extension or compensation cable type or connections could be incorrect. Inspect and correct the extension or compensation cable setup. * Polarity: The polarity of the cables may be incorrect. Ensure the polarity of the cables is correct.

Why does my BEAMEX Test Equipment MC5-IS display random readings during thermocouple measurement?
    • G
      guerrerosarahAug 12, 2025
Random readings during thermocouple measurement on your BEAMEX MC5-IS Test Equipment can occur due to several reasons: * Incorrect connections: Ensure all connections are correctly made. * Broken wiring: Inspect the wiring for any breaks and repair if needed. * Interference: Mobile phones or radio transmitters can affect the measurement. Remove these sources of interference.

What to do if BEAMEX Test Equipment MC5-IS displays unstable readings during thermocouple simulation?
    • B
      Barbara JordanAug 22, 2025
If your BEAMEX MC5-IS Test Equipment shows unstable readings during thermocouple simulation, it might be because the instrument under calibration uses voltage pulses to detect an open sensor. The MC5-IS detects these pulses and tries to compensate for them, causing the unstable output. Prevent these pulses for the duration of the calibration.
