5. Enter the neighbor ipv6-address route-reector-client command to congure a specied neighbor to be a route reector
client.
device(config-bgp-ipv6u)# neighbor 2001:db8:e0ff:783a::4 route-reflector-client
The following example
congures a neighbor with the IPv6 address 2001:db8:e0:783a::4 to be a route reector client.
device# configure terminal
device(config)# router bgp
device(config-bgp-router)# local-as 1000
device(config-bgp-router)# address-family ipv6 unicast
device(config-bgp-ipv6u)# neighbor 2001:db8:e0ff:783a::4 route-reflector-client
Aggregating routes advertised to BGP neighbors
A device can be
congured to aggregate routes in a range of networks into a single IPv6 prex.
The route-map should already be dened.
You can aggregate BGP4+ routes, for example 2001:db8:0001:0000::/64, 2001:db8:0002:0000::/64, 2001:db8:0003:0000::/64
into a single network prex: 2001:db8::/24.
1. Enter the congure terminal command to access global conguration mode.
device# configure terminal
2. Enter the router bgp command to enable BGP routing.
device(config)# router bgp
3. Enter the address-family command and specify the ipv6 and unicast keywords to enter IPv6 address family conguration
mode.
device(config-bgp-router)# address-family ipv6 unicast
4. Enter the aggregate-address command to aggregate the routes from a range of networks into a single network prex.
device(config-bgp-ipv6u)# aggregate-address 2001:db8::/32
The following example enables a BGP4+ device to advertise the default route and send the default route to a specied neighbor.
device# configure terminal
device(config)# router bgp
device(config-bgp-router)# address-family ipv6 unicast
device(config-bgp-ipv6u)# aggregate-address 2001:db8::/32
Enabling load-balancing across
dierent paths
The BGP4+ multipath feature can be congured, enabling load-balancing across dierent paths.
1. Enter the congure terminal command to access global conguration mode.
device# configure terminal
2. Enter the router bgp command to enable BGP routing.
device(config)# router bgp
