8.2 ENGINE SERVICE MODE
The machine provides the functions described in the following sections so that the operation status
of the printer itself is easily obtained in maintenance work.
They are the dedicated maintenance modes for service, and two types of the function are provided,
which enables to check the operation status (code 31 to 38) and enables to check and set the
performance of the main components in maintenance work.
8.2.1 Entry into the Engine Service Mode
Operating Procedure
(1) Turn the power switch ON while holding down the * and 1 keys or * and 2 keys.
NOTE: The contents of the test print vary depending on pressing the * and 1 keys or * and
2 keys. Press either of them according as the pattern you want to print.
(For other functions, the contents are the same.)
(2) The machine displays “SERVICE MODE / ► TEST PRINT” on the LCD.
