5-8 User Manual
3. Close and tighten the argon cylinder valve.
4. Slowly open the Vent Valve to discharge gas from the system and the high-pressure gas supply
line. Wait until all the pressure is released and the pressure gauge on the gas supply line
indicates zero pressure.
5. Use the appropriate wrench to remove the gauge assembly from the empty argon cylinder.
6. Connect the gauge assembly to the full argon cylinder.
7. Close and tighten the Vent Valve.
8. Carefully turn the cylinder valve on the argon cylinder counterclockwise for one quarter turn.
Ensure that the pressure reading on the gauge responds immediately. Turn the cylinder valve
further counterclockwise to open the gas cylinder so that sucient gas ow is present.
If no gas pressure is displayed on the Gas Indicator, ensure the Argon Valve is OPEN.
9. Continue the cryoablation procedure at the next planned freeze or thaw phase.
10.
5.3.2 Dual Argon Cylinder Connection
1. Safely position a full argon cylinder, with the required purity, near the empty cylinder.
2. Close and tighten the cylinder valve of the empty argon cylinder.
3. Open the Vent Valve to discharge gas from the system and the high-pressure gas supply line.
Wait until all the pressure is released and the pressure gauge indicates zero pressure.
4. Close the Vent Valve on the Console.
5. Connect the auxiliary gas supply line to the EZ-Connect2 four-way adapter assembly using the
quick-connect connectors.
6. Connect the opposite end of the auxiliary gas supply line to the new argon cylinder.
7. Carefully turn the cylinder valve on the new argon cylinder counterclockwise for one quarter turn.
Ensure that the pressure reading on the gauge responds immediately. Turn the cylinder valve
further counterclockwise to open the argon cylinder so that sucient gas ow is present.
