8.8.4 Needle Messages (CX Needles)
Message Reason for Appearance / Solutions
40-01 Unsupported Needle
• The connected needle is not supported by the
software
• Choose and connect a dierent needle type
Reason for Appearance:
A needle type not supported by the
software conguration was connected in
the channel. The channel will be disabled
until an appropriate needle is connected.
OR
Software identied needles not regulatory
cleared or supported in the country of
operation. The channel will be disabled
until an appropriate needle is connected.
Solutions:
1. Disconnect and segregate the needle.
2. Connect a supported needle type
and select the needle type from the
drop-down menu.
3. Contact Galil Medical Customer
Service if further guidance is needed.
40-03 Recalled Needle
• This needle lot number is identied as part of a
recall and is unavailable for use
• Return the needle to Galil Medical
• Connect a needle from a dierent lot number to
continue the procedure
Reason for Appearance:
The needle lot number was identied as
a lot number in a regulatory recall. The
channel will be disabled until a needle from
a dierent lot number is connected.
Solutions:
1. Disconnect and segregate the needle.
2. Return the needle to Galil Medical.
3. Connect a needle from a dierent lot
number to continue the procedure.
40-04 Expired Needle
• The needle ‘Use by’ date is in the past
• Replace with a new needle
Reason for Appearance:
The needle expiration date was identied
as an expired date. The channel will be
disabled until an appropriate needle is
connected.
Solutions:
1. Disconnect and segregate the needle.
2. Replace with a new needle.
