Symptom Potential Causes / Solutions
The Vent Valve cannot be used to
depressurize the system.
When viewing the Gas Venting Wizard, if a dialog displays
indicating the pressure is not decreasing and the argon
cylinder is closed, the Vent Valve may be plugged.
If the Vent Valve is plugged:
1. Press CANCEL.
2. Press START CASE.
3. Select SKIP SETUP WIZARD.
4. Perform a freeze on one or more channels.
5. Monitor the pressure on the Gas Indicator.
6. When the pressure goes below 50 psi, which could take
more than 10 minutes, stop the freeze and then press
END CASE.
7. Follow the instructions presented on the wizard steps.
8.5 Gas Cylinder and Gas Supply Line
Symptom Potential Causes / Solutions
Safety cable is missing at either
the cylinder side or the Console
side of the gas supply line
Do not use a gas supply line with a missing safety cable. Doing
so could compromise the safety of personnel in the room.

A gauge or a gas supply line is
damaged
Do not use any damaged product. Contact Galil Medical
Customer Service for new accessories.
A gas leak was detected between
the gauge adapter and the
cylinder valve
• Tighten the connection using the wrench provided with the
ICEfx System.
• Close the cylinder valve and vent the gas from the ICEfx
System and the gas supply line using the Vent Valve
(Figure 2-3). Verify the system is depressurized. Loosen
and remove the gauge assembly adapter. Verify no debris
is on the gas cylinder connection point; clean the sealing
surface as needed to remove any debris. Reposition and
tighten the gauge assembly adapter onto the cylinder
valve, using the wrench provided with the ICEfx System.
