Symptom Potential Causes / Solutions
Gas begins leaking through a needle
port after gas ow was started using the
Test, Freeze or Thaw buttons
The channel may have a loose or broken socket.
1. Disconnect the needle and move the needle to a
di󰀨erent channel.
2. Conduct the Needle Integrity and Functionality Test
again on the needle.
3. Contact Galil Medical Customer Service.
8.4 Mechanical Issues
Symptom Potential Causes / Solutions
Needle cannot be rmly connected
in the needle port
1. Verify that the locking bar is in the UNLOCKED position.
2. Needle connector may be defective. Use a di󰀨erent
needle.
3. Residual gas pressure may be in the needle port. Use a
di󰀨erent channel.
4. Check the Gas Indicator display. If there is pressure in
the system, end the procedure and open the Vent Valve
on the rear of the system to completely vent the system.
5. Upon completion, close the Vent Valve.
Locking bar on the Needle
Connection Panel cannot be
positioned in the LOCKED position
1. Verify that all needles in the channel are fully inserted in
the needle connection ports.
2. The Locking Bar may be defective. Move the needle to a
di󰀨erent channel. Contact Galil Medical customer service
to schedule a service call.
3. Check the Gas Indicator display and verify the system
is not pressurized. If there is pressure in the system, end
the procedure and open the Vent Valve on the rear of the
system to completely vent the system. Upon completion,
close the Vent Valve.
Cart does not move freely Release the wheel brake levers.
