10.3 Command Description
10.3.1 Common Command
*CLS
It clears status data, actions need to be executed as the following.
• Clear error queue
• Clear standard event status register
• Clear status byte register
Set command format: *CLS
*ESE
It sets standard event status enable register.
Set command format: *ESE <NR1>
Parameter: 0~255.
Query command format: *ESE?
Return data: <NR1>
*ESR?
It queries standard event status register, clear the register after executed.
Query command format: *ESR?
Return data: <NR1>
*IDN?
It queries the device basic data. The return data is separated by comma. The four fields
are manufacturer, device model, serial number or 0, firmware version.
Query command format: *IDN?
Return data: manufacturer, model number, serial number or 0, firmware revision
*OPC
Operation completion command. When *OPC command is performed and all operations
are completed, OPC bit (bit 0) of standard event status register will be set.
Set command format: *OPC
*OPC?
It queries operation completion command. When *OPC command is performed and all
operations are completed, 1 will be returned.
Query command format: *OPC?
Return data: 1
*RST
Device reset command, and the action needs to be executed as the following.
It enforces ABORt command.
It clears setting data to return to booting status.
Set command format: *RST
*SRE
It sets service request enable register.
Set command format: *SRE <NR1>
Parameter: 0~255.
Query command format: *SRE?
Return data: <NR1>
