2 Connecting to a PC
<4. Removing Devices>
The PC will not detect the camera unless the USB driver is correctly installed. It the driver was not
correctly Installed, use the following procedure to remove it. Then reinstall the driver according to
the instructions in the instruction manual.
[Windows 98 and Windows 98 SE]
1. Turn on the PC and start up Windows.
2. Connect the camera USB terminal to the USB terminal on the PC using the supplied USB cable.
3. Load a memory card In the camera, connect the AC adapter to the camera and turn it on.
4. Open the “Device Manager" on the PC.
i Right-click “My Computer" and select “Properties",
t Click the “Device Manager" tab In the “System Properties" window.
5. Seiect “Other Devices" and OicK “Remove” for the icon with the question mark (7CONTAX TvsO).
6. When a screen for confirming device deletion appears, click "OK".
7. Turn off the camera before disconnecting the USB cable and restart the PC.
<5. When the driver is no longer needed>
Use the following procedure to uninstall a no longer needed driver.
[Windows 98 and Windows 98 SE]
1. Double click “My Computer".
2. Double click "Control Panel".
3. Double click “Add/Remove Programs’ and select “kyocera Camera USB Device 2".
4. Click "Add/Remove" to display “Are you sure you want to uninstall this product 7" and ctlck “Yes". This
completes the driver uninstall process.
[Mac OS 8.6]
t. Double click the System Folder or the Macintosh hard disk.
2. Double click Extensions folder and drag the following files to the trash.
• UD0104-USB Storage Driver
• UD0104-USB Storage Shim (E)
<6. Installing PIXELA ImageMixer Ver.1.0>
[Windows]
1. Open the [PIXELA] folder in the CD-ROM and double-click the [Imlnst] icon.
2. Double-click [PIXELA ImageMixer] In the menu to start installation.
3. Follow the instruction on the screen to complete the Installation.
[Macintosh]
1. Open the [PIXELA] folder in the CD-ROM and double-click the [Setup Menu] icon.
2. Select and double-click the language to start installation.
3. Follow the instruction on the screen to complete the installation.
