11.5 Device Location and Ambient Conditions
The mechanical and electrical environmental conditions at the installation site must comply with
the requirements of "Chapter 2 Technical Data". Avoid adverse conditions caused by the
environment:
ï‚· Avoid installing in wet, dark and other places likely to cause damp and rust. If in unavoidable
rainy area, install the device in a higher position;
ï‚· If the area is an earthquake prone area, fix the protection device tightly;
ï‚· If there is a lot of dust in the installation place, clean it before installing.
The place of installation should permit easy access specially to front of the device, i.e. to the
human machine interface of the equipment. There should also be free access at the rear of the
equipment for additions and replacement of electronic boards.
11.6 Mechanical Installation
In the case of equipment supplied in cubicles, place the cubicles on the foundations that have
been prepared. Take care while doing so not to jam or otherwise damage any of the cables that
have already been installed. Secure the cubicles to the foundations.
The device should be firmly fixed in the cubicle(cabinet), and the connecting screws should be
tightened. The grounding wire of each device should be connected with the copper grounding bus
bar inside the cubicle, and reliably connected with the secondary grounding network. Device
wiring should be consistent with the wiring diagram requirements.
The device features a 6U height, 1/3 19" width chassis, integral panel and pluggable functional
modules with lock. The device is designed conforming to IEC 60297-3. Embedded Installation as a
whole, rear wiring. The current/ voltage connector structure is in the same size, and can be
expanded, combined flexibly. Installation hole size as below.
Attention! It is necessary to leave enough space top and bottom of the cut-out in the cubicle
for heat emission of this relay.
