RS-232 ONLY INTERFACE
Use the programming bar codes in this chapter if modifications to the standard RS-232
interface settings are necessary to meet your system’s requirements. Additional settings which
apply to both the RS-232 and USB interfaces are available in Chapter 3, RS-232/USB-Com
Interfaces.
RS-232 Standard Factory Settings
Reference Appendix B, Standard Defaults for a listing of standard factory settings.
Baud Rate
Baud rate is the number of bits of data transmitted per second. Set the reader's baud rate to
match the baud rate setting of the host device. With an improper baud rate setting, data may
not reach the host correctly.
