5.10.2 Temperature Calibration
TCS Sensor Calibration
Wireless Sensor Calibration
Accurate calibration of the bath temperature sensor is essential for proper operation of the
Model 2500 instrument. Factory calibration provides accuracy within ±0.1 °C. Care must be taken
when re-calibrating the instrument, in order to realize the full accuracy and proper sensing
temperature range.
All bath temperature sensors are factory calibrated using an NIST traceable digital thermometer.
Distek recommends a six-month verification of the temperature readings, during which each
temperature sensor is verified and re-calibrated to meet Distek specification, if necessary.
Because the temperature calibration of the sensors can cause serious performance issues, an
added user security was implemented.
Only qualified personnel should perform the instrument temperature
calibration. Failure to do so will cause serious performance issues.
Only users that have Manager group login access can perform the TCS temperature
calibration.
The password "
disca l
" is needed to perform the calibration.
To store the calibration data, insert a USB flash drive in the instrument USB port and
select
Sa ve to Ca lKey
.
To retrieve the calibration data, insert a USB flash drive in the instrument USB port
and select
Im port from Ca lKey
Every time a method is started, the instrument will verify that each shaft were not
moved or replaced. If there are changes, the application will alert the operator that
changes were made.
