2.8 Basket Installation
To install the basket and adapter, follow the procedure below:
Do not grasp the basket by mesh screen when installing or removing. ALWAYS
GRASP BASKETS BY UPPER RIM. Proper handling will prevent basket distortion
and excess wobble.
1 Raise the drive unit.
2 If paddle blades are installed, remove and return them to their storage container.
Carefully screw a basket adapter clockwise onto the bottom of each shaft. Assemble
finger-tight only.
Basket installation
If baskets and basket adapters are serialized, follow the Production Final Test
report for spindle location.
Distek supplies highly uniform baskets that fit properly into the Model 2500
shafts. Use of baskets other than those supplied by Distek for the Model 2500
may result in unsatisfactory height adjustment.
