Head Mount Assembly
The purpose of the head mount plate is to attach
the SmartDate X40 coder to the bracket
• The holes in the plate for securing it to the
Printer are offset (see example below)
• This enables both right-hand and left-hand
Printers to use the same bracket mounting
plate.
• The head mount kit is supplied with
three stainless steel shims; 1.5, 1.0 and
0.5mm thick
• The shims can be fitted between the
head mount plate and the Printer to set
the correct distance between the
Printhead and the substrate surface.
The example below illustrates a left hand Printer with the mounting plate correctly fitted.
