3 Operating printer functions
3.1 Basic functions
On the Printer tab, you can operate the following functions, among others:
Initialization
Tes t i m ag e
Movement of the printing table
Encoder test image
UV lamp
Displaying the softwar e vers ion
Ink heating

Printe r Startup All units of the printer move to the reference position. Durst recommends this
option if the printer was switched on manually.
Printer Shutdown You can turn off the printer for its da ily shutdo wn with the Daily button.
Testpattern
Print:ThePrint button initiates printing of a test pattern. The test pattern is
not placed in the Printing Queue, rather it is printed immediately.
Position: Media can be printed with test patterns multiple times. Using the
Position selec tio n list, you specify the image lin e on whic h the respective
test pattern is to be printed by repeatedly loading the medium. The software
calculates the requ ired advance automatically.
Encoder Test Using the button s und er Encoder Test, you can print an encoder test image
in the desired quality, optimized either with a higher print speed (Print High
Speed) or high resolution (Print High Resoluti on). When pressing the
corresponding button, the encoder test image is transferred directly to the
Printing Queue.
