1 Overview of daily operation
1.1 Carrying out the daily work
Preparing printer The workstation is booted up
Printer is switched on with th e main s wit c h
1. Close ip doors.
2. Start the software.
3. Press Printer > Printer in the software.
4. Under Printer Startup,presstheInitialize button.
The print carriage, table fan and all motors move to the reference
position.
The interface betwee n the internal electronics and workstation is
initialized.
The UV lamp system is initialized.

6. Check ll level of in k and rell ink if necessary.
Printing 7. Load medium.
8. If printing extends past the medium edge, tape the conveyor belt at the
edges of the medium to prevent soiling.
9. Prepare images on external RIP server and send them to printer.
10. Select or check print options at th
e workstation.
11. Move images to the queue.
12. Print media.
Carrying out daily shutdown
13. Print a test image and archive it.
14. Press Printer > Printer in the so ftware.
15. Press the Daily bu tton u
nder Printer Shutdown.
The ink heating is switched off.
TheUVlampsystemisswitchedoff.
16. Do not initialize th
e print carriage so that the print carriage remains in
the vertical pos
ition of the last print.
17. Close all doors to prevent ambient light from shining in.
For economica
l work, we recommend not shutting down the
workstation
when switching off the printer.
This allows you to prepare les and transfer data from the RIP
server to the workstation even if the printer is switched off.
18. Exiting t
he software. Do not switch off workstation or printer when doing
so.
