1.6 Cleaning system
Task
The purging system is used for automatic and manual purging of the print
heads.
Components The cleanin g system consists of a catch tank an d a cleaning access point.

Function
When the purge cycle is initiated, ink is forced through the print heads and
collected in the catch tank (2).
The suction strips (1) suck ink residue from the printheads.
The cleaning access point (3) all
ows manual cleaning of the print heads
from below.
