14.3 Careful handling of the encoder ruler

Scratching the encoder ruler (1) reduces the functional
ity of th e printer.
Do not touch the encoder ruler with hard objects.

14.5 Purge
Incorrect cleaning of the slots on the nozzle plate can cause print heads
to dry out. This will lead to decreased printing quality or even the failure of
individual nozzles.
Due to soiling on th
e nozzle plate, the ink can be smeared on the printed
medium.
Soiled filters and soilin g o n th e conveyor belt ca n le ad t o malfunctioning of
the exhaust and ventilation. This can cause the following damage:
Failure of el
ectronic components
Overheating of the UV lamps
Damage to the conveyor belt via overheating
Soiling o
n the rubber rollers and on the encoder ruler reduce print quality.
