1.4 Workstation
Task The printing process is controlled and monitored at the workstation.
Components

The workstation consists of the computer (3), monitor with touch screen (1)
and keyboard (2).
Function
The workstation makes available the software for controlling the printer.
The images to be printed can be loaded via a network cable to the workstation
from the external CALDERA RIP sta tio n .
The operator performs the following activities at the touch screen:
 Preparation of the printer for loading the medium and for maintenance
work
 Basic printing settings
 Modification of print parameters
 Sorting of images in the printing queue
 Initiation of the printing proces s
