Start Pulse Offset There may be reasons to displace the print in the Y
direction, but such a displacement is prevented by printing starting in the
middle of the packaging machine signal.
If this occurs, an error or warning will be displayed on the screen and the
machine will only print every other print. The solution to the problem is to
add the Start Pulse offset to the Y-Offset.
This function displaces the print like an ordinary Y-Offset, but also allows
the printer to receive a start signal from the packaging machine “sending
signals” in the middle of printing.
Note: The offset is defined in mm (millimetres) in CM and in ms
(mil
liseconds) for IM.
In the following example, the print would normally be interrupted by the
second
signal, with the result that the printer will only print every other print.
By setting Delay Type instead, the printer will not be interrupted in the
middle of printing and will print each print in the required position.
Note: This function should only be se
lected if the packaging machine
sends a signal while the printer is printing.
