Email Settings page
ReachtheEmailSettingspage(gure6-7)byclickingtheEmailSettingslinkon
theSystemSettingspage.TheEmailSettingspagehaseldsforsettingupthe
switcher’s e-mail notification capabilities. For the e-mail settings and for each row
of the e-mail notification settings, click the Edit button to make the fields available
for editing. The button changes to Save. After editing the settings associated with
the Edit/Save button, click the Save button.

Mail IP Address field
TheMailIPAddresselddisplaystheIPaddressandthedomainnameofthemail
server that handles the e-mail for the facility in which the switcher is installed.
ValidIPaddressesconsistoffour1-,2-,or3-digitnumericoctetsseparatedbydots
(periods).Eacheldcanbenumberedfrom000through255.Leadingzeroes,upto
threedigitstotalpereld,areoptional.Valuesof256andaboveareinvalid.
Domain Name field
TheDomainNameelddisplaysthedomainnamethattheCrossPointorMAV
switcherusestologontothee-mailserver.Standarddomainnameconventions
(for example: nnnnn@xxx.com) apply.

The following characters are invalid in a domain name:
{space} + ~ , = ‘ [ ] { } < > ’ “ ; : | \ and ?. The @ character is
acceptable only as the lead-in to the domain name (such as @folklore.net).
