CrossPoint / MAV Matrix Switchers • Operation
Creating a configuration
The current configuration can be changed using the front panel buttons. Change
the current configuration as follows:

. Press the Esc button to clear any input button indicators, output button
indicators, or control button indicators that may be lit.

. Select to configure video, audio, or both by pressing the RGBHV
(CrossPoint switchers) or Video (MAV Plus switchers) button and Audio button.

. Select the desired input and output(s) by pressing the input and output
buttons.
•
For matrix sizes above 1616, input buttons light green.
•
For matrix sizes up to 1616, input buttons light one of the following colors:
Amber: Video and audio ties
Green: Video only ties
Red: Audio only ties

Output buttons light or blink one of the following colors:
Amber: Video and audio ties
Green: Video only ties
Red: Audio only ties

To indicate potential ties, output buttons blink the appropriate color
when an input is selected.

To indicate current ties, output buttons light steadily the appropriate
color when an input is selected.
•
To clear unwanted outputs, press and release the associated lit output
buttons. To indicate potential unties, output buttons blink the
appropriate color when an output is deselected but not untied from the
input.

. Press and release the Enter button to accept the tie or to break an existing tie.
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 to create or clear additional ties until the desired
configuration is complete.

previouslytiedtoanotherinput,theoldertieisbrokeninfavorofthenewer
tie.
• Ifaninputwithnotieisselected,onlythatinput’sbuttonlights.
• WhentheWhentheRGBHV(CrossPointswitchers)orVideo(MAVPlus
switchers)buttonandAudiobuttonarelit,ifaninputwithanaudiotiebut
novideotieisselected,theinput’sbuttonlightsamber(matrixsizesupto
1616)orgreen(matrixsizes3232andabove)andtheoutputbuttonlights
theappropriatecolor(amber,green,orred).
• Aseachinputandoutputisselected,theassociatedoutputbuttonblinksthe
appropriatecolortoindicateatentativetie.Buttonsforoutput(s)thatwere
alreadytiedtotheinputlighttheappropriatecolorsteadily.Outputsthatare
alreadytiedcanbelefton,alongwithnewblinkingselections,ortoggledoff
bypressingtheassociatedoutputbutton.
• IfyoupresstheinputbuttonforanI/Ogroupedinputandthentrytoselect
anoutputinadifferentgroup,youcannotselecttheassociatedoutputbutton
(theactionisignored).Theassociatedinputbuttonremainslit.
