Attach the engine end of the cable sheath to the cable mount on the intake using ⅜” and

16
” wrenches.
Put a dab of silicone on the rear edge of the rubber wipe then push the rubber wipe back onto the
threads.
Push the ball stud retainer onto the ball on the bottom of the throttle body.
Push/pull the cable into the retainer so that the cable is tight.
Tighten the set screw in the retainer using a

” hex key.
Check the idle screw underneath the throttle body to see if the throttle arm is hitting it. If it is not, either
loosen the ball stud retainer set screw and readjust the cable or, bend the small tab behind the accelerator
pedal until the idle screw hits the throttle arm. You will notice a fairly high idle later when the car starts
if the throttle is held open.
