Using a jig saw or other reciprocating saw cut out the area traced.
Draw a line ⅝” from the edge of the recessed area on the inside of each door.
Drill a ⅜” hole in one corner and use this as a starting point to begin cutting.
Cut and remove the inside face of the recessed area.
