Before You Begin

Before you begin installing a 3D Gen 2 sensor, be sure that you have the following:

n Access to a PoE-enabled source such as a switch or PoE injector

n Available ports on the PoE source

n UTP Category-5e (CAT5e) or greater cable

n All required permits in place for installation activities, as per local ordinances

n Network rules established and functioning

n USB Wi-Fi BLEdongle if using employee filtering (2510 model only)

Note: You can significantly reduce the installation time by

configuring all sensors with the appropriate network and

configuration settings prior to arriving on site. For detailed

instructions see Setting up the Sensor.
