30.4.32.29 Lean Assist
Lean Assist is a feature that monitors and detects peak temperatures for EGT or TIT as the pilot leans the
engine's air/fuel mixture. When configuring EGT or TIT inputs, Lean Assist can be enabled or disabled. If
Lean Assist is enabled, the LEAN softkey will appear on the ENG page in normal mode. Lean Assist
should be disabled for engines that do not have pilot-controllable air/fuel mixture, including FADEC
engines.
30.4.32.30 Normalized Mode
Normalized Mode can be configured for both CHT and EGT if an equal number of CHT and EGT probes
are connected. If there is a dissimilar number of CHT and EGT sensors, Normalized Mode can only be
configured for EGT. When this configuration setting is enabled, a button appears next to the CHT/EGT
graph to toggle Normalized Mode on and off. When Normalized Mode is activated, the vertical scaling of
each CHT/EGT bar is adjusted so the bars appear "level" when the temperature is equal to the initial
temperature at activation. See the G3X Touch Pilot’s Guide for more information on Normalized Mode.
30.4.32.30.1CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature)
If Normalize Mode for CHT is desired, change the Normalize Mode setting to "Enabled". (see Normalized
Mode for more information, Section 30.4.32.30).
30.4.32.30.2Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT)
If Normalize Mode for EGT is desired, change the Normalize Mode setting to "Enabled". (see Normalized
Mode for more information, Section 30.4.32.30).
