3 TROUBLESHOOTING STEPS
Use the following sub-sections as referenced by the trouble shooting steering guide provided in
illustration 1.
3-1 Rotation Functional Checks
1. Remove the Breast Support.
2. Use the slow speed Arm Control buttons to rotate the Arm over the whole range 5 times in slow
speed.
While moving the Arm over the whole rotation range (-165° to +185°):
a. Check on the Gantry LCD Display whether the following Rotation related errors appear:
• 112/011 - Rotation control error
• 112/012 - Rotation control error
• 112/023 - Rotation control error
b. Visually check that the speed of the rotation movement is constant.
c. Check if noise is present indicating that the Rotation Motor cables and Rotation Clutch cables are
getting stuck with the Arm Covers, etc.
If there are no Rotation related errors/warnings and the movement is constant, the Rotational func-
tional checks have passed, the corrective action worked, and no further action is required.
If there are Rotation related errors/warnings and/or the movement is not constant, the Rotation func-
tional checks have failed, the corrective action did not work, and you must continue with the trouble-
shooting tasks in illustration 1.
3. Use the speed Arm Control buttons to rotate the Arm to the start point of the downward motion resis-
tance test (i.e. +90° for the left hand side, and -90° for the right hand side).
4. Use the Tube Head control buttons (A) on the opposite side of the intended downward motion (B), to
manually apply a modest upward resistance, while rotating the Arm downwards. Apply the resistance
during the entire downward motion (i.e. anti-clockwise from and +90° to +185° when testing the left
hand side, and clockwise from -90° to -165° when testing the right hand side).
A. Downward motion via
fast Arm control buttons
(clockwise, right-hand
side in this example).
