6 PROCEDURE
CAUTION
Before proceeding, make sure that the arm is horizontal, with the tube head rotated left to
the 9-o’clock position, so that the tube assembly is supported in order to prevent the tube
from falling when the pivots are removed. Replacing the pivots with the tube weight rest-
ing on the left-side fixed pivot will also help ensure that there will be no lateral play in the
tube assembly when the adjustable right-side pivot is secured.
To replace the tube tilt pivot, do the following:
1. Release and remove the three screws securing the left pivot (1) (2 mm allen wrench).
2. Release and remove the screw securing the right pivot (2 mm allen wrench).
3. Pull out and remove the pivots. The pivot has a screw hole. So, you can insert a screw to help pull or
extract it if necessary.
4. Attach the new left pivot so it is flush against the housing, and tighten the three new screws to secure
it.
5. Attach and push down firmly on the new right pivot to ensure a tight fit and no lateral tube play.
Tighten the new screw and disregard the other new screw.
