6. Remove the defective AWS unit from the Control Station.
6-2-2 If present, remove external CD writer
If you are replacing an AWS unit that uses an external CD writer, remove it as follows:
1. Disonnect the SCSI cable from the external CD writer and remove.
2. Disconnect the CD writer’s power cable from the external CD writer and from the UPS.
3. Remove the external CD writer.
6-2-3 Reassembly of the New AWS Unit
1. Place the new AWS unit (1) inside the Control Station.
2. Secure the AWS unit to the Control Station using the Velcro strips (3).
3. Secure the new AWS unit as follows:
• On V1 Control Stations, secure the upper right corner plate (2) using three nuts (10 mm open-
ended wrench).
• On V2 Control Stations, attach the brackets (2) to the front and back of the ADS unit and tighten
the allen screws to secure the front and back brackets (6 mm allen wrench). For the front
