2-4. Control Station
2-4-1. Overview
The Control Station is used for image acquisition and display, database management, and to send
images to archive, review or filming.
It includes the Acquisition Workstation (AWS) Cabinet, which accommodates the following:
• the workstation electronics (ADS computer, Image Detection Controller (IDC) computer)
• the Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
• an integrated CD-R unit for interchange purposes
The AWS Cabinet supports the LCD monitor used for control and display, a pointing device (trackball or
mouse), and a radiation screen.
