Job Card ELE A065 - Trackball Configuration
Note:
During each configuration procedure, the trackball may "beep" between four and 10 times. If the
configuration instruction asks you to wait for the beeping to stop, it is important that no button is
pressed before the end of the beep.
In each procedure:
First press buttons 1 and 6 until the trackball beeps to enter program mode.
Press buttons 2 and 5 until the trackball beeps to confirm entry to program mode.
To abort the programming operation, press buttons 1 and 6.
7-2 Trackball Button Setup Procedures
• Button 1: Right click
1. Press and hold buttons 1 and 6 until the trackball beeps.
2. Press and hold buttons 2 and 5. Wait until the trackball beeps and ensure that you release both
buttons before the beep ends (the beep lasts 2 seconds).
3. Press and release button 1 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
4. Press and release button 3 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
5. Press and release button 1 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
• Button 2: Middle click
1. Press and hold buttons 1 and 6 until the trackball beeps.
2. Press and hold buttons 2 and 5. Wait until the trackball beeps and ensure that you release both
buttons before the beep ends (the beep lasts 2 seconds).
3. Press and release button 2 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
4. Press and release button 2 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
5. Press and release button 1 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
• Button 3: Left click
1. Press and hold buttons 1 and 6 until the trackball beeps.
2. Press and hold buttons 2 and 5. Wait until the trackball beeps and ensure that you release both
buttons before the beep ends (the beep lasts 2 seconds).
3. Press and release button 3 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
4. Press and release button 1 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
5. Press and release button 1 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
• Button 4: Left click
1. Press and hold buttons 1 and 6 until the trackball beeps.
2. Press and hold buttons 2 and 5. Wait until the trackball beeps and ensure that you release both
buttons before the beep ends (the beep lasts 2 seconds).
3. Press and release button 4 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
4. Press and release button 1 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
5. Press and release button 1 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
• Button 5: Middle click
1. Press and hold buttons 1 and 6 until the trackball beeps.
2. Press and hold buttons 2 and 5. Wait until the trackball beeps and ensure that you release both
buttons before the beep ends (the beep lasts 2 seconds).
3. Press and release button 5 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
4. Press and release button 2 and wait for the trackball to stop beeping.
