Chapter 4: Installation

Typical supply:
Pressure 60 psi (4.9 Bar)
Demand (Flow) 0.36 scfm (10 L/min)
Maximum Pressure 100 psi (7 Bar)
Step 11: Turn on Power and Configure Basic Settings
Enable power to the Analyzer. Before using the Analyzer, you may need to configure various basic settings.
1. Turn on the power switch located on the side of the Analyzer. The display will light up. (It can take up to
two minutes for the System Info screen to appear.) If this does not occur, refer to Chapter 9,
"Troubleshooting."
2. The System Info screen appears with a reminder to attach the waste lines. If the waste lines were not
attached already, do that now (see Installation Step 4). When ready, press the Main button on the
display.
Setting the Clock
Set the Analyzer clock to ensure that all TOC measurements reflect the correct date and time, as follows.
1. Press the Menu button.
2. Select the Maintenance tab.
3. Press the Advanced button
4. Press the Clock button.
5. Specify the correct date and time via each of the buttons.
6. Press the Save button, and then press the Back button twice.
Step 12: Perform a Test Analysis
To confirm that the Analyzer is in proper working condition, perform a test analysis on a sample for which you
know the approximate TOC or NPOC value and which has a concentration of less than 1,000 ppm.
1. Insert the check standard tube into the sample.
2. Press the Setup tab, and then press the Check Standard button. Press the Check Standard Setup
button.
