Before contacting Technical Support, please perform system diagnostics (
Diagnostics” on page 217). When
calling Technical Support, provide the date of the last preventative maintenance for all consumables and basic
Analyzer information from the System Info screen (Maintenance tab
System Info). Additionally, export and
send the following data prior to contacting the team:
Diagnostics File — (Menu
Maintenance tab Diagnostics Export Diagnostics USB)
Cal/Ver History —(Menu
Cal/Ver tab either Calibration History or Verification History Export
All)
Regular Run Data — (Menu
Data tab Export Range 1 Week 1 Week)
System Properties Back Up — (Menu
Maintenance tab Advanced System Properties USB
Backup)
Returning the Analyzer to GE Analytical Instruments
In some instances, after consulting with GE Analytical Instruments Technical Support, it may be necessary to
return the Analyzer to the factory for repairs. Only return the Analyzer if Technical Support has issued you a
Return Authorization (RA) number.
Several precautions must be followed to ensure that the Analyzer is not damaged during shipment. If the
original shipping container has not been retained, contact GE Analytical Instruments to order shipping supplies.

. Installation and
training by a qualified service technician can also be provided. Under no circumstances should the Analyzer
be packed in anything other than the original shipping container.
To prepare the Analyzer for shipping
Before repackaging the Analyzer, prepare it for shipping.
Warning
If the Analyzer is returned in anything other than an GE Analytical Instruments
shipping container, you will be charged for any damage that occurs during
shipping.
