streams). For these three states, you can select from 0, 1, 2.5, 4, or 20 mA. The Warning Level also
includes a Disable option. The Standby Level includes an additional option to Hold Last where the
last measurement output will be maintained during Standby rather than going to the Standby level.
12. Press the Conversion Factor button to apply a configurable factor to the final result. You can configure
up to five conversion factor equations with unique alphanumeric units by clicking on Maintenance tab
Conversion Factor. For additional information, refer to “Configuring Conversion Factors” on
page 146.
13. Press the Calibration button to specify which calibration should be used in this protocol.
14. Press the Presets button to select from pre-configured Online measurements. The presets are
suggested configurations, based on experience with specific sample types. The preset configurations
may be modified, as needed for your specific application. Press the Back button to return to the stream
(such as Stream 1) screen.
15. After you have configured this stream, press the Back button to return to the Configure Online screen,
and then configure any other streams you want to monitor.
16. Continue to the next section to define the setup for the check standard.
Check Standards
Check standard measurements provide a way of checking that the Analyzer is operating properly and that its
calibration has not changed. The Analyzer can make measurements of this check standard—a solution of known
concentration— as part of a scheduled Online operation or as a separate, manually-started analysis. Use the
Check Standard button to manually initiate measurements of the check standard. For information on setting up
scheduled online operations of the check standard, see “
To set check standard measurements (Scheduled)” on
page 135.
NOTE:
If a Warning is generated during operation, and if a new measurement is available, it will output the
measured 4-20 mA value for 30 seconds and then return to outputting the Warning level. However, if
Disable is selected for the Warning output, all warnings will be ignored on the 4-20 output.
NOTE:
You can ONLY select calibrations for the appropriate analysis mode and range (specified previously
using the Range button). If you selected the Auto Range option, you can specify the Calibration Group
to use with the protocol. For more information, see “
Calibration Groups” on page 114.
NOTE:
Any changes made to the Check Standard Measurement (Manual Start) are also applied to the
Check Standard Measurement (Scheduled). See page 135
