Step 8: Connect the Sample Inlet System
The flow from the water source should be disabled until the sample inlet system is completely installed and the
Analyzer is ready to begin analysis.
Installing the Online Sample System
The Analyzer normally operates in Online mode to measure one or more flowing sample streams. If the sample
stream has sufficient pressure to flow through the Sample Cup, connect one end of the flexible 1/4-in (6 mm) ID
tubing provided with the Analyzer to the sample source. Connect the other end to the barbed fitting nearest the
Analyzer on the Sample Cup inlet fitting. The one-quarter turn PVC ball valves provided in the accessories kit
may be used to control sample flow if the sample pressure is high.
If the sample stream does not have sufficient pressure to flow through the Sample Cup, the optional external
Sample Peristaltic Pump must be used. Attach one end of the flexible 1/4-in (6 mm) ID tubing provided with the
Analyzer to the sample source. Connect the other end to the barbed Luer-Lok adapter fitting provided with the
Sample Peristaltic Pump. Attach the fitting to the pump inlet on the top of the pump head.
