Chapter 6: Analyzer Operation
2. For connection of the Analyzer to a network, select the straight-through Ethernet cable from the
Accessories Kit. Attach one end of the cable to the Ethernet port on the Analyzer, and plug the other end
into a convenient network port.
3. Open a data acquisition program than can capture a TCP/IP transmitted .csv text file in real time.
Examples include PuTTY, HyperTerminal, and Tera Term.
Using the Ethernet Connection and Modbus
To use Modbus, first ensure that the Ethernet cable is attached to the System/Controller board. Then follow the
procedure in
Configuring the Analyzer’s IP Address” on page 156.
The InnovOx TOC Analyzer uses the standard Modbus port 502 for Ethernet communication. The Modbus map
for InnovOx is provided in "
Appendix D: Modbus Map."
Configuring Alarm Outputs
The Analyzer has four binary alarm outputs, which can provide an alarm on any stream when the concentration
in that alarm exceeds a threshold value.
To set the alarms
1. Select the I/O tab.
2. Press one of the alarm output buttons (such as the Alarm Output 1 button). The Alarm Output screen
appears.
NOTE:
The following Telnet port numbers are used to collect real-time data:
10802 - Historical Data (Data History or Cal/Ver History)
10801 - Real-Time Data (Generated during Measurements)
NOTE:
These alarms will only trigger relays on the I/O board and will not be indicated on the display. See Step 6:
Install Input/Output, Cables, and Accessories” on page 79 for I/O Board configuration information.
