Set the Shutdown Interval
If the instrument is on, has not been used for a specied period of time, and is not connected to the power
supply, it will shut down to save battery power.
Supervisors
can set the shutdown interval.
1 Select (Settings) > Supervisor Settings > Instrument Settings > Display > Shutdown.
2 In the dialog box (

), select the desired interval.

NOTE: To prevent the instrument from shutting down, select Never at the top of the list.

Set the Date and Time
The current date and time are always displayed in the status bar at the top of screen. For each test, the
instrument records the date and time the test was run and displays it in the test result.
Supervisors
can manually set the date and time or specify that the instrument automatically get the date
and time from the network.
Enable the Date and Time to be Set Automatically:
1 Select (Settings) > Supervisor Settings > Instrument Settings > Date and Time.
2 Set the toggle for Automatic Date & Time to On (Toggle On).
When the instrument is connected to the network, the date and time will automatically be synchronized with
the date and time provided by the network.
Supervisors
can also use CCM to specify that the date and time be set automatically. See
“Congure
Instruments (Instrument Settings)” (page 83)
.
Manually Set the Date:
1 Select (Settings) > Supervisor Settings > Instrument Settings > Date and Time.
2 Set the toggle for Automatic Date & Time to O (Toggle O).
3 Select Set Date.
4 In the dialog box (

), scroll the values for the month, day, and year.
