NOTE: Network access must be restricted and isolated to the minimum required communication ports and
protocols. This is a shared responsibility; the device should limit the exposed ports and the customer
provided network shall be isolated/segmented from the business network. The segmentation should be
provided by VLAN or by rewall, whichever is preferred. All unnecessary ports, protocols, and services
should be blocked (e.g., ICMP).
Disconnect from a Wireless Network:
To disconnect from a wireless network:
1 Select (Settings) > Supervisor Settings > Instrument Settings > Wi-Fi.
2 Select the network name and a dialog box for the wireless network is displayed.
3 Select Forget to disconnect the instrument from the wireless network.
Check the Quality of a Wireless Network Signal:
To check the quality of a wireless network signal:
1 Select (Settings) > Supervisor Settings > Instrument Settings > Wi-Fi.
2 Select the network name and a dialog box containing the details of the wireless network is displayed.
NOTE: The indicator is a relative indication. See “Wi‑Fi Signal Strength” (page 45).

1 Select (Settings) > Supervisor Settings > Instrument Settings > Language.
2 In the dialog box, select the preferred instrument language:
● English
● Spanish (Español)
● French (Français)
● Italian (Italiano)
● German (Deutsch)

To view read-only information about the instrument hardware and software:
● Select (Settings) > Supervisor Settings > Instrument Settings > Instrument Information.

Congure a POCT1‑A Network
Supervisors
can congure a POCT1‑A network for use with middleware. A POCT1‑A network allows an
instrument to communicate with other POCT1-A compliant devices.
1 Contact the institution’s network administrator for the IP Address and Port that the instrument will use
when it is connected to the POCT1-A network.
2 Select (Settings) > Supervisor Settings > POCT1-A Network Settings.
3 In the dialog box (

), enter the IP Address and the Port.
