Centralized Conguration Manager(CCM) Software
8.1
CCM Introduction
Centralized Conguration Manager
is a PC‑based software that is used to congure the GEM Hemochron 100
instruments.
Although the instrument menus can be used to congure some of the instrument settings, CCM can be used
to congure more advanced settings and send the settings over the network to 1 or more instruments
at the same time.
CCM also allows
Supervisors
to do the following:
● Generate a conguration data report – Use CCM to generate a report containing all of the conguration
data associated with 1 or more instruments. Reports can be saved as a comma‑separated value le (.csv)
and opened in a spreadsheet.
● Reuse conguration data – After conguration data is created, use CCM to export to a le for reuse.
● Update the instrument software – Use CCM to install a new version of instrument software (rmware).
When updating the software on the instruments, multiple instruments can be updated at the same time.
The CCM software application consists of 2 modules:
● Administrative Settings – To create and manage
Admins
and
CCM Supervisor
accounts.
● Conguration Settings – To congure instruments.
NOTE: Users log into each module separately. Users must log out of 1 module before logging into the
other module.

GEM Hemochron 100 System User Accounts
There are 4 types of accounts are associated with the GEM Hemochron 100 system. 2 accounts are for the
CCM software application and 2 accounts are for instrument(s):
CCM Accounts:
●
CCM Administrator
●
CCM Supervisor
Instrument Accounts:
● Instrument
Operator
● Instrument
Supervisor
NOTE: The Supervisor can use the instrument settings menu to congure that specic instrument or use
CCM to congure more advanced instrument settings and send those settings over the network to 1 or
more instruments at the same time.
CCM Administrator (Admin):
Admins
use the Administrative Settings module (
Figure 75 (page 74)
) to do the following:
● Create, edit, and delete accounts for other
Admins
.
● Create, edit, and delete accounts for
CCM Supervisors
.
A factory default setting
Admin
account exists in CCM:
Username
admin
Password
000
The rst user to log into the software must log in using the factory default setting
Admin
account
(
admin/000
). Once logged in, the user will be forced to change the password. The new password should be
recorded and stored in a safe place. The new
Admin
is able to create other
Admin
and
CCM Supervisor
accounts.
Admin
account information is stored in an encrypted le on the same computer that installed the
CCM software. When the software is upgraded, this le remains on the system so that these accounts
do not need to be recreated. Therefore, the
Admin
default password will not change unless it is changed
by the
Admin.
