THE PHOCUS GRAPHICAL LAYOUT
The graphical layout in Phocus can be customized in regards to the various windows, item
size, and positioning as well as the content in the various windows. Below is a description of
the default graphical layout which is shown in Figure 5-20.

On the far left is the File Browser that contains information regarding Capture destina-
tion. Favorites, Collections, File systems, and devices. This window can be hidden or mini-
mized after loading fresh captures or completing a search for folders but can only be placed
on the left hand side of the layout.
The Menu includes File, Edit, Image, View, Window, and Help for specifi c choices.
The Viewer that normally contains the selected image is in the center of Figure 5-21. An
optional viewer toolbar runs along the bottom of the viewer. The viewing area can also be
minimized, and placed into a vertical column with a collection of thumbnails to the left. It
can also be made to fi ll the entire screen as a Full Screen Viewer with Toolbar. Exit the Escape
button to exit Full Screen mode.
The Tool Area on the far right shows sets of tools under four main tab headings, Capture,
Browse, Adjust, and Export. These individual sets can be regrouped to include or delete cer-
tain tools or create duplicate tools. The four tabs can be hidden. Each tab can be customized
for content.
