Hasselblad has gone a step further in the H3D and the newer H3DII models by com-
pletely integrating camera and digital back so the camera becomes a true digital camera. This
offers a number of important benefi ts to the digital photographer that do not exist in a cam-
era with an attached digital back. On these latest H3DII camera models, all components, the
lens, the capture unit, the software are an integrated system so these cameras are true DSLR
medium format cameras. The H3DII models replace the earlier H3D cameras.
HASSELBLAD DIGITAL CAMERAS
H3D and H3DII Camera Models
The latest H3DII camera models that replace the H3D models have basically the same features
but have a larger and brighter 3-in. diagonal preview screen, 62 47 mm in size with a lower
power consumption. The H3D display is 2.25 in. diagonally. Image noise has been reduced
with a better, fan free cooling system for the sensor, an integrated GPS option, and the menu
on the preview screen can be operated from the controls on the LCD display. The Hasselblad
Global Image Locater (GIL) accessory can be used on both models. The H3D cameras can be
used for 6 4.5 fi lm photography by attaching the Hasselblad magazine HM 16-32. The H3DII
camera models cannot be used for fi lm photography because of the new ultra focus system in
these cameras which is designed for producing the most precise focusing for digital imaging
with the lens set at any aperture value. The digital sensor unit can be removed for the sole
purpose of cleaning the sensor.
Hasselblad H3DII-39 Camera
H3DII single shot camera model with 39 Mpixel sensor unit (digital back) specifi cally
designed for the H3DII camera with 36.7 49.0 mm sensor with 5412 7212 pixels, ISO
50–400 with HC 80 mm f2.8 lens, and HVD full-frame viewfi nder.
Hasselblad H3DII-39MS Camera
Same camera as above but with multi-shot capability. It can also be used for single-shot digital
photography.
Hasselblad H3DII-22 Camera
H3DII single shot camera model with 22 Mpixel sensor unit (digital back) specifi cally
designed for H3D camera with 36.7 49.0 mm sensor with 4080 5440 pixels, ISO 50–400
with HC 80 mm f/2.8 lens and HVD full-frame viewfi nder.
Hasselblad H3DII-31 Camera
H3DII single shot camera model with 31 Mpixel sensor unit (digital back) specifi cally
designed for H3DII camera with 33.1 44.2 mm sensor with 4872 6496 pixels, ISO
50–800 with HC 80 mm f/2.8 lens, and HVD full-frame viewfi nder.
